François Dupont, Ph.D., C.Psych. COPO # 3578

Dr. François Dupont is a Clinical Psychologist with competence in General, Health, and Rehabilitation Psychology. He provides the following services in French and English :

- Individual short-term and long-term general psychotherapy (self-esteem issues, interpersonal difficulties, depression, burnout, anxiety, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc.)

- Biofeedback and neurofeedback for relaxation and attention enhancement training, and in the management of impairments such as depression, anxiety, chronic pain, head-injury, Asperger’s syndrome, trauma and PTSD, etc.

- Assessment of psychological / emotional, cognitive and behavioural functioning,

- Psycho-physiological assessment (stress assessment),

- Quantitative electroencephalography (qEEG); used before neurofeedback training.

Dr. Dupont’s orientation is eclectic and involves the use of techniques borrowed from cognitive-behavioural, dynamic, humanistic and experiential approaches.

Dr. Dupont received his B.Sc. in psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal and his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa in 1998 (where he also did some teaching).

Dr. François Dupont has been involved with biofeedback and neurofeedback since 1991, when he was still a student under clinical supervision.
